TEVO enlarges production facilities
Roll Unit in Raahe
TEVO's whole roll production unit has moved into new, modern facilities which are located by the highway no. 8 in the town of Raahe. It is an industrial building comprising 2800 sq. meters with separate areas for bearing installations and three 10 ton bridge cranes. Working areas are situated in modules providing a good logistic production flow which, in turn, will speed up the lead time for roll manufacturing and repairs. In addition, the roll unit is equipped with versatile combination of machines and equipment - precision parts are being fabricated with up-to-date CNC lathes.
Quality control is done through an integrated production control system.
The new address for roll repairs and overhauls is now as follows: Kiiluntie 6, 92120 Raahe, FINLAND.
Propeller Production Unit in Turenki
Installation works of a big carousel lathe are being carried out in the propeller unit's extension building the construction of which was completed in the late Autumn of 2011. TEVO intends to commission this one of the biggest carousel lathes in the whole Scandinavia during next year. The extension building has been incorporated into the propeller unit complex by constructing it with architecturally uniform facades. In order to increase lifting capacity, a 100-ton bridge crane with a lifting height of 13,6 meters has been mounted in the extension part. Consequently, the total production area in Turenki is now increased to 11.000 sq. meters.
